An evening encounter

In my night travels many weeks ago, I came across a neglected creature. My companions and I searched for signs of its master, but the proud red beast appeared to have been left to fend for itself. The pitiful thing was disconnected from any energy source to help it to collect its dusty nourishment, and had only bushes and pavement for company. We wanted to care for it and take it home, but feared the wrath of its former master.

A quick sketch

Below is a quick charcoal sketch I did of my hand today. Using charcoal is kind of fun; pencil tends to be more precise, but larger drawings are much faster to do with charcoal.

SLAC Skies

I've been working at SLAC this summer. The place where I actually work is somewhat of an industrial pit, but the main SLAC campus is not without its nice scenery. The picture below is from a day when the skies were particularly nice.

A bit of music

I've been messing around with composing music in Ableton Live recently. Recording accoustic instruments, such as my guitar, is a little difficult at the moment due to the lack of privacy in my dorm living arrangements, thus this piece is all sampled instruments and synths. I hope you enjoy it.
